WCG 2005
An eye opener today (at least for me)
I have enough dosage of cyber games in one day then i have in the past 21 years of my life
Far too exciting and loud.
But definitely a worthwhile trip
BEfore we enter the exhibtion hall of WCG at Suntec Exhibiton Hall, some dim dim even commented that, there is a lack of hype of this game that is held in SIngapore this year
He even cited examples like When WCG was held in Korea, how the whole nation was involved or were xcited up over this event.
Though some part is true, but that doesn't mean that WCG 2005 is a poor organised event.
As we can see from the moment we stepped inside the hall
The main stage alone is magnificent. Furthermore, this event is strongly sponsored by Samsung. As i must say, i am impressed with their screen resolution. It made viewing a much more pleasure.
Beside the main stage, which is where all the finals are held
There is also a cyber space stage
Where the 3rd place competition will be screen.
IT is definitely exciting to watch all those world cyber players competiting with each other. Their reactions to every single movement made by their opponents are fast and accurate.
No wonder someone watch the game with so much intense that i wish he used that same amount of energy on me. Hhahahaha
ASking him to peel his eyes off the screen prove to be a challenge!
i Finally persuade him to turn around to flash me his killer smile before turning back to the screen
Among the matches we had watched, i only understand FIFA finals and COunter Strike.
I am totally lost when watching the game played on Starcraft and War Craft. Seeing all those creatures running around aimelessly made me amused. BUt apparently none of the people beside me find it funny.
COunter Strike is so much easier to understand, and it is more exciting as the gameplay is faster. THe final two teams who are competing for the champions are sp strong that they can accurately kill each other with minmial bullets. Such accurate gun shots.
I am impressed.
BEside all those competition around. There are displays around like these;
Apparently they are Transformer...or some kinds of robots which are greatly fantaised by Mr Monyet. Yes he spent considerable amount of time poring through the display glass and gaped at these legos. Hhahahah
Such an ignorant me!!!!!
We stayed there the whole afternoon. Cant believe that i actually can tolerate the sounds and the games for the whole afternoon. After watching the last game (FIFA finals), we finally stepped out of the freezing hall only to realise that my head is spinning wildly. Which is attributable to the powerful sound system inside.
Anyway Terence more than made it up for me by bringing me to somewhere nice for dinner.
Coz he dragged me to this WCG)
Hahahah
But oops, think i dragged him to Loreal Sales yesterday too. So we are even.
anYway this are our sumptous dinner.
With HErbal chicken soup (refillable)
Grilled meat pot(bottomless)
ANd Salmon sushi (unlimited)
Drool?????
We proceed to do what we always do....
Then i caught him .......
Drinking soup using a ladle
Been a fine lady, i show him the correct utensile to use
But he is out to defy him
So i gave up and continue to do what i always do.
Finally we are done with with what we always do
And we decided to commerate this moment with a cheese
