Haiz, i watched Hotel Rwanada on 14th feb, yest i watch Black Hawk down in CHannel 5.
Two such shows are similar in the way at how people sacrifice themselves for others. How heriocally and courageous the US soldiers are, when they knew that their own team mates are still stuck inside the enemy terriorty, and are helpless, even though they know that their chances of surviving or coming out alive are sooo slim and yet they still dont want to give up even the slighlest chance of rescuing their own people. The main thing that is repeated throughout the show is " Dont ever abandon your team mates, Leave no one behind", it is definitely true, even though they are pressing for time, enemy are hot on their heels, and even if the dead US pilot is stuck in such a unmovable position, they still wanted to retreive the dead bodies. It is definitely a tragic show, that is based on real life story, what supposedly should be a 32 min mission, turn out to be a day long, what supposedly should be mission where no ammuition and firing is required, turn out to be losing many of their people due to gun shot and shortage of ammuition. I do really apprectiate my safe and montously life now, as i dont wish to be caught in between the racial conflict between the Hutu and Tutsi that casued a genocide (100 million people are killed within 1o0 days) or do i wan to be in the middle of where i am surviving for the sake of the person beside me, where i am fighting for the sake of protecthing the person besides me.
